- Post-Treatment Care: Patients can resume normal activities that day but are asked to avoid sexual activities for 2 weeks. We will provide you with compression sleeve dressings, antimicrobial wash and an antibiotic cream to use. You will be asked to change the dressing and apply the cream twice daily. It takes about a week for the majority of the Volux to smooth out, but in some patients it may take 3-4 weeks to completely smooth out. The smoothing process for Volux is longer that for Voluma that is due to the thickness of Volux.
- Follow-up: A follow-up appointment is usually scheduled at 6-8 weeks to assess the results and correct any unevenness. If necessary, touch-up injections might be done during the follow-up.
