2. Compression Dressing

After the procedure, a compression dressing is applied to the penis to help with swelling and to smooth the filler. The dressing provides gentle but firm pressure which helps with post procedure discomfort. Patients wear the compression dressing for a week to optimize healing but it also helps reduce and swelling, bruising and tenderness.

3. Over-the-Counter Pain Relief

For any residual discomfort, we advise patients to take over-the-counter pain medications such as Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen. These medications help with any minor pain and some such as ibuprofen reduce inflammation. Most patients find they do not even need OTC pain relief. Finally any pain that in not well treated with OTC pain medications should be reported to Dr. Sullivan immediately as this could be the sign of an infection or other side effect.
